About Insulele Falkland
Insulele Falkland, numite și Insulele Malvine sunt un arhipelag situat în Atlanticul de Sud, la 460 km est de țărmul Argentinei și 940 km nord de Antarctica. Arhipelagul este format din două insule principale: Falkland de Est (Soledad) și Falkland de Vest plus circa 700 de insule mai mici. Capitala și orașul principal este Stanley, situat pe insula Falkland de Est. Insulele formează un teritoriu britanic de peste mări, dar sunt revendicate de Argentina încă de la independența acesteia, din 1810.
